Since 1971, Fairfield has been home to Maharishi University of Management, founded by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. We’re also home of the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts, one of only two theatres in the world bearing the composer’s name. Hundreds of residents and visitors gather in the town square for 1st Fridays Art Walk, touring our art galleries and taking part in our community’s culturally diverse, creative and artistic monthly celebration. This monthly community event features artists, musicians, actors, writers, poets, dancers and filmmakers and other art venues.
